SIMASV® was founded in 1957 by Pietro Vaccari, a mechanical engineering enthusiast. The company took the name S.I.M.A.S.V., which stands for Italian ”Specializzata Industria Macchine Applicazioni SottoVuoto”, or Specialised Industry for Machinery for Vacuum Applications.
